When should we choose copper, multimode fiber or single-mode fiber?

The decision depends on distance, bandwidth, equipment optics, PoE needs, pathway, environment, upgrade horizon and cost. Copper fits many endpoint links; multimode often serves building backbones and data rooms; single-mode supports longer distance and broad capacity growth.

What is the difference between cable testing and certification?

Basic tests may verify continuity and wire map. Certification measures the parameters required for a defined cabling category or class. Fiber acceptance may include insertion loss, polarity and OTDR traces according to design and contract requirements.

Will we receive labels and as-built documentation?

Yes, when included in the defined scope. AstSer establishes an administration scheme and delivers link identifiers, schedules, relevant diagrams and test records so the installed plant can be operated after handover.
