TJMA: web conferencing built around judicial work

Support, monitoring and evolution of a BigBlueButton platform integrated with the operational context of the Maranhão Court of Justice.

TJMA: web conferencing built around judicial work

A virtual hearing needs more than a meeting link. Scheduling, access roles, recordings, monitoring and institutional directory integration must behave like a single service. This is the environment AstSer supports for the Maranhão Court of Justice.

From virtual room to daily operation

The BigBlueButton-based platform covers personal rooms, hearings, meetings, recordings, groups, locations, servers and a panel for active conferences. LDAP or Active Directory can provide user identities, while invitations and permissions distinguish moderators from participants.

The infrastructure combines Ubuntu Linux, BigBlueButton, FreeSWITCH, Nginx, PHP, Redis and application components. Asterisk integration adds telephone participation. Zabbix exposes performance and availability indicators inside the Court’s own environment.

Maintenance with a method

  • preventive routines and recurring version checks;
  • file backup and recovery;
  • incident history and traceable records;
  • changes documented with the TJMA technical team;
  • 24x7 response for high-severity incidents.

Evolution without losing governance

New capabilities move through specification, configuration or customization and are documented. This discipline matters in judicial environments: the platform must evolve, but every change must remain understandable, traceable and compatible with the operation already in place.
